Ricky Ham Pagawak Expelled by Residents in PNG, Papuan Traditional Leaders Ask KPK to Arrest Mamteng Regent
Central Mamberamo Regent Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) reportedly expelled residents of Waromo Village, Vanimo Province, Papua New Guinea (PNG) border.
The suspect in the bribery and gratification case also came out and hid in Muara Kong-kong Village, Vanimo. This was revealed by the Chief of the Keerom Tribe, Herman Yoku to Tribun-Papua.com on Friday (10/14/2022).
"He lives there with all my brothers from the Tabi traditional area," explained Herman. According to him, RHP has not been able to leave the village because since he fled from Papua to PNG, the community has rejected him
While in Muara Kongkong Village, in Herman, Ricky Ham Pagawak also often did shopping activities at Vanimo. "Yesterday he had a fight with them there, so he stayed by going to Muara Kongkong Village and hiding there," he said.
Ricky Ham Pagawak has not yet reached Port Moresby, the capital of PNG. Based on this information, Herman Yoku urged the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to immediately deploy the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) DPO for the corruption case.
"This RHP case is getting darker, so I ask that this case not be drowned, and the KPK must deploy Interpol to arrest and deport the person concerned," he said. Herman said that the state must take serious action in dealing with corruptors who have fled abroad.
“I have offered to help the KPK regarding information on RHP in PNG. . It is known, Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) fled to PNG via an informal route, after being named a suspect in a bribery and graft case by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). RHP fled on Thursday, July 14, 2022, while in Skouw Market which is the border between Jayapura City and Papua New Guinea (PNG).
The KPK also issued a fugitive status or DPO for the Regent of Central Mamberamo. Ricky Ham Pagawak (RHP) has fled to PNG since July 29, 2022. He fled because he had been named a corruption suspect by the KPK in bribery and gratification cases while serving as Regent of Central Mamberamo (Mamteng), Papua.
