Acting Governor of Central Papua Invites Residents to Maintain Security Stability

Acting Governor of Central Papua, Ribka Haluk, invited the people in eight districts/cities to jointly maintain political and governmental stability so that local regional development can run well and optimally.

"Our top priority agenda in Central Papua Province is how to maintain a conducive and guaranteed security situation. That way all government programs will run well," he told ANTARA in Jayapura, Saturday.

According to Ribka, this was based on directions from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) so that development in Central Papua would run smoothly.

"For this reason, my main hope is that the public will not be provoked by fake news developed by irresponsible groups or individuals, both on Social Media (Medsos) and directly," he said.

He explained that Central Papua is an open area, then the people are also heterogeneous so anyone who comes to develop the area is welcome.

"I invite all people from the districts of Deyai, Nabire, Dogiyai, Intan Jaya, Mimika, Paniai, Puncak and Puncak Jaya to protect this beloved land of Central Papua together," he said.

He explained that in order to make the area progress, the entire community and government, TNI-POLRI must unite to develop Central Papua in a better direction.

"So that the vision and mission of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin can be realized and carried out safely and smoothly," said the Minister of Home Affairs Expert Staff for Apparatus and Public Services.

He added that his party is also currently discussing further the needs of the Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) with the regents from urban districts in Central Papua.
