Biak Health Office received 450 Pfizer vaccines

The Biak Numfor District Health Office, Papua received a shipment of 450 Pfizer vaccines to serve the vaccination needs of the people in the area.

"The Health Office has received delivery of 75 vaccine vials and they are ready to be used to serve booster vaccinations for the Biak Numfor community," said Head of the Disease Prevention Control (P2P) Division of the Biak Health Office, Ruslan, Epid in Biak, Saturday.

He said an additional 450 vaccines would be distributed to government health facilities and the Biak Resort Police health clinic.

Ruslan appealed to the people of Biak Numfor Regency to be able to carry out booster vaccinations at government health facilities and the TNI/Polri.

Ruslan said that the availability of booster vaccines is expected to increase the number of Biak Numfor residents who receive vaccination services.

"The Health Office hopes that the current stock of vaccines can meet the needs of the people of Biak Numfor," said Ruslan Epid.

Ruslan said that the booster vaccination service in Biak Numfor Regency will continue to run in accordance with the government's program to increase vaccination outcomes for residents up to 100 percent.

Regarding the use of Indonesian vaccines, according to Ruslan, the Biak Health Office has been informed to obtain domestically made vaccines.

"For when the delivery schedule and how many vaccines will be received by the Biak Health Office, we are still waiting for further information from the Papua health office," said Head of P2P Health Office Ruslan.
