Prepare Fulfillment of Health Human Resources for Three New Autonomous Regions

The Papua Provincial Health Office (Dinkes) held a Regional Health Working Meeting (Raker Kesda) at the Suni Abepura Hotel, Thursday (11/24). The Kesda Working Meeting was attended by all levels of the health office from 38 districts/cities in Papua.

Head of the Papua Provincial Health Office, dr. Robby Kayame, said the Kesda Working Meeting discussed preparing and fulfilling Human Resources (HR) in the health sector, especially in the three new provinces.

"This time the Working Meeting of Kesda met to split up, so the hope is that this meeting will be able to make a mapping of health development based on the new provinces," said Robby.

Through the Kesda Working Meeting, said Robby, from each Regency/City they can convey all the problems that exist in each region. To find solutions to any existing problems.

"This Rakerkesda aims to map health development based on new provinces, all of which have to start from scratch. Because of course there are problems that are experienced in every new autonomous region, "Robby said.

Robby said that in order to realize every problem that exists, especially in each district/city, especially in the three new provinces, it is necessary to have cooperation that can build one unit in one health development system, in order to realize every hope of the government and the state in terms of reducing health numbers in Papua.

Therefore, there are several strategic programs that will be formulated later from the results of the Rakerkesda which will be given a recommendation for a new province, so that it is followed up so that development in the health sector is not interrupted.

"So far in Papua Province there is still a shortage of doctors around 50-60 percent, there are even health centers without doctors, so we need a joint commitment to fulfilling all of this," he said.

He also hopes that the acting governors in the 3 (three) new autonomous regions can appoint officials or health officers in the 3 (three) new autonomous regions who are truly in accordance with the existing needs.

"The designation of health officials or officers in the three new autonomous regions must really be people who understand the procedures for working patterns at the provincial level, don't just appoint officials in the health sector. Because the most important thing in these three provinces is the human resources of the health workers themselves," said Robby.

Meanwhile, Expert Staff for Functional Policy Analysis for the Governor of Papua, Anike Rawar, when reading the governor's remarks, said that the Rakerkesda was attended by the heads of the health services, as well as the Director of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) from 29 districts and cities.

"This Rakerkesda is the last and very important meeting, because Papua Province has been divided into three more provinces so it is expected to produce the best results, especially for the development of human resources in the health sector in Tanah Papua, so that in the future these three new autonomous regions can work according to health standards. there is," he said.
