The Association of Regents hopes that the new autonomous regions will prosper the people of the Papuan Mountains

The chairman of the Association of Mountain Regents Didimus Yahuli hopes that the formation of a new autonomous region (DOB) and the placement of acting governors, especially in the Papua Highlands Province, can bring prosperity to the people in the region.

"It is hoped that the existence of the Papua Mountains Province will improve people's welfare," hoped Didimus, who also serves as Yahukimo Regent in Jayapura, Monday.

Admittedly, as a new province that will be equipped with regional work units (SKPD), it is certain that there will be many positions to be filled so that his party hopes that later those who occupy the structural positions will come from ASN from various districts in the mountains or from the main province.

"We hope that the filling of structural positions in the Papua Mountains Province will prioritize ASN who are from eight districts or from the main province, namely Papua," hoped Didimus Yahuli.

Admittedly, there are indeed levels that must be met, but his party still hopes that they will be prioritized.

"Don't let them just be spectators in their own land," hoped Didimus Yahuli.

Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian on Friday (11/11) appointed Nikolaus Kondomo as Acting Governor of Papua Mountains along with two other people.

Papua Mountains Province, which has thousands of cities in Wamena, has eight districts namely Jayawijaya, Lanny Jaya, Tolikara, Central Mamberamo, Yalimo, Yahukimo, Bintang Mountains and Nduga Regencies.

Three new provinces were inaugurated and were divisions of Papua, namely South Papua Province with the capital Merauke, Central Highlands Papua with the capital city of Nabire and Highlands Papua with the capital city Wamena.
