10 thousand Christian congregations in Biak celebrate the Christmas Santa Claus Parade

At least 10,000 Christian congregation members from various church denominations in Biak Numfor Regency, Papua marched on the Santa Claus Parade to welcome the Christmas day of the birth of the human savior, Lord Jesus Christ, Saturday (3/10).

The Christmas Parade parade was attended by thousands of participants from 69 church congregations released by Biak Numfor Regent Herry Ario Naap together with the Head of BP Klasis GKI Biak Selatan Rev. Y.Kbarek at GKI Bahtera Nuh Babrimbo Church, Biak Kota district.

"The Christmas Parade is being held by the Biak Christian congregation in order to celebrate Christian religious holidays," said BP Klasis GKI Biak Selatan Pdt Y. Kbarek in Biak, Saturday.

He hopes that the Christmas parade can establish a brotherly relationship of love between members of Christian congregations from various church denominations in Biak Numfor Regency.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Biak Numfor Herry Ario Naap expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the Santa Claus Christmas parade from various church denominations.

"Thousands of congregations of the Biak Numfor Christian Church with great joy participated in the parade to welcome the Christmas day of the birth of Jesus Christ," said Biak Numfor Regent Herry Ario Naap.

The organizing committee for the Christmas parade, Yotam Simopiaref, said that the Christmas parade was attended by representatives of thousands of Christian congregations representing church denominations in Biak Numfor.

"The implementation of the Santa Claus parade to enliven the Christmas holiday organized by the committee for the ecclesiastical holidays of the BP Klass GKI Biak Selatan has proceeded safely and smoothly until it is finished," said Yotam Simopiaref.

After finishing the Christmas parade in Cenderawasih field, it was continued with the distribution of door prizes and cash prizes for participants who correctly answered the quiz provided by the committee.

The Regent of Biak, Herry Ario Naap, immediately guided the distribution of door prizes to selected church congregation participants by answering questions prepared by the organizing committee.
