Nduga Regency Government and PLN Realize 24-Hour Electricity in Kenyam, Regent: Christmas Gift for the Community

The Nduga Regency Government gave Christmas gifts to the people of Kenyam City, Papua Mountains.

The gift in question is electricity that can operate 24 hours a day.
 
This gift has been the people's long wait for the past 14 years, even since Nduga was officially formed as a regency.

"Electricity is one of the basic needs that must be met in order to support the development of the Nduga district. Praise God, finally all of our hopes for 14 years since the district was founded have finally been realized," said Nduga Regent Namia Gwijangge to Tribun-Papua.com, Tuesday (14/14/2019). 12/2022) through his written statement.
 
Namia said, so far electricity has only been on for 6 hours per day using an 800 kVh diesel power plant with three generator units with a daily usage load.

"Now in the Kenyam District it is estimated that 250 kvh per day in the future the community will be able to experience 24-hour electricity," said the Regent of Nduga.

Namia appreciates PT PLN Timika for their cooperation in helping assemble and operate a diesel power plant.

"I give my high appreciation for the assistance and good cooperation. PT. PLN in the Timika region has helped assemble and operate the new machine. Today the electricity is on, then this power plant will be managed and operationally adjusted by PT. PLN to meet the electricity needs in the Regency. Guess," he said.
 
He said DJ Kenyam's 24-hour electricity was also a Christmas gift for the people to welcome the birth of Jesus Christ.

"I hope that the community can use electricity as well as possible. I also ask the community to maintain existing facilities in order to advance the Nduga regency because it is one of the Christmas gifts for the Nduga community," said Namia.

The Regent of Nduga said, in the future his party would also make improvements to the cable network in order to expand the scope of electricity services in the Nduga Regency area.
 
Meanwhile, the Head of the Nduga Police, AKBP Rio Alexander, revealed that the Nduga Regional Government had endeavored to support the service to the community.

"We, as security forces, the Nduga Police support every government program in the welfare of its people. We are also always with the government in ensuring security and comfort in the Nduga district. Development in Nduga will also affect the welfare of the people, when the people are prosperous, thoughts that are not profitable or negative will disappear from society.

"This is an extraordinary progress. Come on, let's protect the public facilities that the local government has tried for the progress of the Nduga Regency, which we love and are proud of," concluded the Police Chief.
