Pertamina Papua forms the 2022 Christmas Task Force to maintain the availability of fuel

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku formed a Christmas and New Year 2023 Task Force Team to control and monitor the smooth distribution of fuel and LPG until January 8, 2023.

Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku I Ketut Permadi Aryakuumara in Jayapura, Saturday, said the Task Force involved officers of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Papua Maluku and related agencies including the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Department of Transportation, the Office of Cooperatives and MSME Labor, Police, KSOP, TNI and PT Telkom Indonesia to ensure energy availability is met.

"We estimate that the potential for community movement during the Christmas and New Year 2023 holidays will be crowded due to the current situation in the Papua Maluku region starting to improve," he said.

According to Ketut, people can take advantage of various modes of transportation to visit family or fill their holidays.

"We predict that energy consumption will increase due to people's mobility ahead of and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations in Papua-Maluku," he said.

He explained that his party predicts the need for gasoline-type fuels will increase by nine percent, then biodiesel by two percent, and aviation fuel by 18 percent.

"The increase also occurred in kerosene 8 percent and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) 9 percent," he said.

He added that to guarantee the company's operational processes during the Christmas and New Year 2023 periods, his party has also prepared gas stations with longer operating hours and free medical check-up facilities.
