Teachers in Papua are Encouraged to Improve the Quality of Education, Derek Hegemur: Keep the Spirit to Build Superior Human Resources

It is hoped that all teachers in Papua will continue to be passionate about teaching and improve the quality of education in their respective regions.

This was conveyed by Acting Assistant III for General Affairs and Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Papua Province, Derek Hegemur in Jayapura, Saturday (3/12/2022).
 
The Provincial Government of Papua continues to respect teachers who continue to strive to advance the progress of education in the eastern tip of Indonesia.
 
"We, the Provincial Government of Papua, give our appreciation to educators, especially those in remote areas who are willing to teach our children," Derek told reporters.

Derek said the dedication of these educators was extraordinary.
 
"Because of them (teachers) we can exist today. It is because of their services that they can give us knowledge," he said.

According to Derek, teachers in remote areas are also the spearhead in educating the younger generation of Papua so they grow smart.
 
Teachers are referred to as a source of growth in intelligence and excellence in human resources (HR).
 
"That's why education is also our strategic program," he said.

Derek added, his party was focusing on improving the quality of education to educate Papuan children.
