TNI Soldiers Entertain Children in the Interior of Papua

TNI soldiers from Kodim 1707 / Merauke who are members of the 107th Manunggal TNI Task Force Building the 107th Village Task Force entertained children inland precisely in Epem Village, Citak Mitak District, Mappi Regency, Papua Province, by holding a sack race competition on Monday. (4/7/2020).

Company Commander (Danki) of the 107th TMMD Task Force Kodim 1707 / Merauke First Lieutenant Antonius Kalambia said that the 107th TMMD activities in Epem Village, in addition to physical construction 20 community housing units also carried out various non-physical activities including other social and social activities entertainment that is beneficial for local residents.

"One of them is what we do, which is to provide entertainment to the children of Epem Village to do a sack race. The children looked enthusiastic in joining the sack race competition, "he said.

According to First Lieutenant Antonius Kalambia, the sack race is not only an entertainment but also a training for children. "With this kind of activity, children can be entertained and get closer to the 107th TMMD Task Force Kodim 1707 / Merauke personnel," he hoped.

Yosef Wer (6 years old) who took part in the sack race admitted that the race was difficult at first, but many Epem Village children could do it with enthusiasm and joy.

"At first it was rather difficult, just a few jumps I have fallen, but I and the other children were full of enthusiasm in joining the race," he said.
