Community Supports Otsus Continues

One of the Masya in Argapura Urban Village, South Jayapura District, assessed that during the rolling special autonomy system, it was felt that it brought big changes for indigenous Papuans.

"I personally support Otsus, it is undeniable that the Special Autonomy (Otsus) for Papua has a positive impact on the development of Papua which is increasingly progressing at this time," said Head of RT of Argapura Village, Yopye Kafiar
 
He considered that so far the special autonomy system has been very helpful both in terms of policy and budget.

"We really support the continuation of the Papua Special Autonomy program because it is useful for helping the Papuan people to be more prosperous," said Yopye.

Especially in Jayapura City, the community has felt the positive impact of the Papua Special Autonomy.

"We in Jayapura have received special autonomy funds from the City government through the accounts of the Kelurahan or appointed team," he explained

Yopye hopes that young people will not be provoked by irresponsible parties. We want the Indigenous Papuans to advance in development in all fields.

"Let us together help the regional government, TNI-Polri in terms of security and order so that the Papuan people live safely and peacefully," he explained.
