West Java PON Football Team Targets One Semifinal Ticket at XX PON

Given the situation and conditions in Papua which are certainly different from other regions, the West Java PON Football Team knows for itself.

Therefore, the West Java PON Football Team is aiming for a semi-final ticket as the initial target when performing at PON XX / 2021 which will take place in Papua in October.

However, this target is not a fixed price. PORDA 2018's best coach team, Yudiantara, is still aiming for the final as an effort to defend the title he won at the 2016 PON.

"If you look at the conditions in Papua, the semifinal target for our team is still realistic. We have taken it into account, but we are still aiming to be able to defend the title of defending champion there, "said Yudiantara.

This was conveyed to the West Java KONI Achievement Division in a discussion about the readiness of the West Java Football Team at the KONI Building, Jalan Pajajaran, Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Yudintara said that he had conveyed all aspects related to the readiness of the men's football team in front of the eight personnel of the West Java KONI Achievement Division on the same day.

"West Java KONI really understands our target, because it is known that the situation and conditions in the sport of football are very tough. Moreover, a host who promotes football as one of the sports that must not fail besides boxing, we have already considered this, "Yudiantara added.

After discussing with West Java KONI, the same program will begin with its parent, namely West Java PSSI Asprov. According to Yudiantara, all aspects related to the readiness of the West Java PON Football Team have been submitted to the Achievement Division at KONI West Java.

"While meeting face to face with the Achievement Division, we received direction and input, especially mental and nutritional issues. "We say that nutrition is quite good for now, especially during the pandemic we are expected to continue to pay attention to the health of athletes, in this case players," he said.

The West Java PON Football Team is now preparing as many as 23 of the best players who will be brought to Papua. However, Yudiantara said that the number of players was not final considering the quota was only 18 players.

"This is what we will discuss with Asprov PSSI in the next discussion," said Yudiantara.
