Vaccinations To Increase Body Immunity

The chairman of the Indonesian Papuan Doctors Association, Donald Aronggear, stated that vaccination is very important to minimize exposure to the corona virus.

"Vaccination as a means of prevention in corona transmission," said Aronggear.

Aronggear said, residents in Jayapura City must get a vaccine so that they form immunity in preventing transmission of the corona virus.

"Do not hesitate with the efficacy of the vaccine because you have obtained a distribution permit from the BPOM that the drug being circulated is safe, quality, efficacious, has quite high efficacy," said Aronggear.

According to Aronggear, vaccination is a health service modality as a form of special protection to prevent the spread of disease.

"The development of vaccine recipients must be monitored, especially the conditions of those who have been vaccinated," said Aronggear.

Aronggear added that in order for the vaccination process to run smoothly, local governments must form a monitoring team for those who have received the vaccine.
Head of Jayapura City Health Service, dr. Ni Nyoman Sri Antari, said 56 percent or as many as 230 thousand of 416 thousand residents in the capital of Papua Province could be injected with the Covid-19 vaccine.

"Because they do not have comorbidities or comorbidities and are 18-59 years old. Vaccination for the general public will be carried out in May 2021 and socialization must be conducted before vaccination is carried out, "said Antari.

According to Antari, 56 percent of residents who deserve this vaccination are based on data collected at hospitals and health centers.

"If some residents have been vaccinated, automatically those who haven't received the vaccine can be protected, so this can prevent the spread of the virus and control the Covid-19 pandemic," said Antari.

Antari hopes that residents who have been vaccinated will adhere to health protocols, such as wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap with running water, strengthening faith and immunity.

"I hope that no more people will be infected with the corona virus. Hopefully this Covid-19 pandemic will soon pass from Papua and life will return to normal. We don't know how many doses of the vaccine will be. I hope people are ready to be vaccinated, "said Antari.
