The Papua Culture and Tourism Office deliberately presented it, in order to introduce cultural guests to Papua.
Head of the Papua Province Culture and Tourism Office, Yemin Weya, said that the total budget needed to prepare dances from 5 customary areas would cost IDR 7 billion.
This preparation is based on the vision and mission of the Governor of Papua, in order to introduce the culture and uniqueness of the Earth of Cenderawasih.
"Meanwhile, the souvenirs will be prepared in the form of original noken, which are priced from Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 10 million per bag, with various motives," he explained, Monday (8/3).
To support PON Papua, the Papua Culture and Tourism Office is recording the readiness of hotels, tourist locations and adequate human resources to welcome PON XX.
His party will establish a number of guard posts on the beach which are often tourist sites and visited by tourists. The establishment of guard posts is intended to safeguard visitor activity at beach locations and to anticipate drowning people.
"Currently, there are many cases of drowning of visitors on the beach while on tour. Most of what is reported are children playing on the beach and suddenly being carried away by the swift waves of the beach," he explained.
