PB PON XX Papua Ready to Hold CDM Meeting II

The Executive Board of the Papua National Sports Week (PB-PON) is ready to hold the Chief De Mission (CDM) Meeting II PON XX on 7-9 April 2021 (ed. Today) at Suni Garden Lake Hotel and Resort, Sentani, Jayapura Regency.

In his press statement, the Chairperson of the Committee for CDM Meeting II PON XX Papua, Yusuf Yambe Yabdi said, related to the preparation of the Chefs de Mission (CDM), there were two things prepared, first the preparation of the CDM itself, and secondly, the preparation of the PON progress which would be conveyed to all CDM from all Provinces.

So, Yusuf Yambe continued, optimism from Papua as the host of PON, with what has been prepared, this will be the optimism of all Provinces to be able to send athletes and opponents, as well as committee members in the success of all matches that will be held in four clusters namely Jayapura City, Regency. Jayapura, Mimika Regency and Merauke Regency.

"For this CDM II event, we as the committee are 100 percent ready. For the material, we are also collaborating with the central KONI, and all the data from the fields have been collected, which will later be conveyed to the participants of CDM Meeting II, "said the Chairman of the Committee for CDM Meeting II PON XX, Yusuf Yambe Abdi during a press conference at Suni Garden Lake Hotel and Rersort, Sentani, Jayapura Regency, Tuesday (6/4), evening.

However, his party hopes that this second CDM event will be the last CDM, then his party will also enter into preparations, to be ready to carry out the XX PON which will be opened on October 2, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of the Central KONI, Suarno, explained that this CDM is a meeting forum between the prospective host of the PON (PB PON Papua) and the potential guests (the contingent).

The substance of this CDM meeting II, continued Suarno, PB PON will also convey some information related to how the competition is organized and what services will be provided to PON participants.

In addition, said Suarno, his party will also discuss the opening and closing ceremonies of PON XX, which are service-oriented. While we will ask how the readiness of PB PON is in the fields of transportation, accommodation and consumption.

In fact, said Suarno, what was no less important was the readiness of the host in terms of health. Because said Suarno, this health includes many things, the first is talking about health services in general. Then the specifications relate to the condition of Papua itself which has something to do with the malaria pandemic.

"What are the health efforts in order to welcome the guests, so that the guests do not get malaria. In addition, what is PB PON's readiness to anticipate Covid, and these provisions must refer to the results of a limited meeting (Ratas), that all guests who will come to Papua must have been vaccinated. And for those who have already been vaccinated, the contingent who will come to Papua is obliged to take the Swab, "he explained.

Suarno added, in this CDM meeting II, we will also talk about the field of marketing, in this case socialization is about logos, mascots, Instagram and how we put logos and mascots, as well as things related to sponsorship ".
