Points of Statement to Support the Continuation of Special Autonomy and the Expansion of Papua

The Youth Group in Merauke, which is part of Barisan Merah Putih and the State Defense Community, stated that they support the implementation of Special Autonomy (Otsus) and the expansion of the Province of South Papua.

The statement of support was read out when he visited the Merauke DPRD office to convey his aspirations.

The statement read by the head of the Red and White Barisan Esau Hombore accompanied by his secretary Timotius Noach G Mahuze in front of members of the Merauke Regency DPRD Commission I Laode Kanna on Jalan Brawijaya, Merauke, Papua.

The contents of the statement read out are:

First, we, the Red and White Barisan of Merauke Regency and the State Defense Community of Merauke Regency, fully support the special autonomy (Otsus) in Papua as a form of the government's seriousness in developing the land of Papua to be better, more advanced, moral and dignified. Otsus has answered all challenges in Papua, and Otsus is a blessing from God that should be grateful for anyone who is on the land of Papua.

Second, we, the Red and White Barisan of Merauke Regency and the State Defense Community of Merauke Regency, hereby state that we fully support the government's programs and policies in developing the land of Papua, and fully support the division of the region and the formation of a new autonomous region (dob) in this case the Province of South Papua. This, of course, will have a positive impact on the Papuan people, and also give a sense of belonging to develop each region in their customary territory, so that areas that are still left behind can be boosted for a faster and more orderly development acceleration and have a positive impact on the Papuan people. .

Third, we, the Red and White Barisan of Merauke Regency and the State Defense Community of Merauke Regency, fully support the special autonomy evaluation process and are looking for the right formula for the implementation of further autonomy in Papua.

Fourth, we, the Merauke Regency Red and White Front and the Merauke Regency State Defense Community, urge the central government, the KPK, the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia, the Police, the Kemenkopolhukam to immediately go down to Papua in the context of examining and investigating the use of Special Autonomy funds in Papua Province, including examining the special autonomy funds in Papua. the representative institution of indigenous Papuans, the Papuan People's Council (MRP).

Fifth, the institution that was born from Otsus, why are you allergic to Otsus? The MRP is not supposed to play practical politics, but should protect the rights of Papuans to get Otsus. In this case the hearing (RDP) was unsuccessful but the budget was exhausted as if it had been manipulated without clear accountability, so we ask that the MRP financial audit be carried out immediately.

After reading out a number of demands, the Merauke Regency Red and White Youth Front submitted these aspirations to the representatives of members of the Merauke Regency DPRD, Commission I Laode Kanna.

"Thank you for representing the Chairperson of the Merauke Regency DPRD, I will accept the aspirations that you have conveyed. Regarding the hopes that have been conveyed by the Barisan Merah Putih and the State Defense Component to us, it will be forwarded to the regents to the central government, so that this can be realized, because this aspiration is a positive thing for the younger generation of Papua, "said Laode Kana.
