The Governor of Papua asks the regional head of the PON cluster to secure their territory

 

Papua Governor Lukas Enembe asked regional heads who are included in the four clusters that organize the XX National Sports Week (PON) to secure their respective territories during the implementation of the biggest sports championships in the country.

"The regents and mayors are expected to secure the situation and there should be no commotion," said Lukas in the opening of the CdM Meeting II of the XX Papua PON at a hotel in Sentani, Jayapura Regency, Papua.

According to Lukas, Papua is ready to host the XX PON in October and delegates from each contingent are welcome to come with the strength of their best athletes.

"Please come, we are ready to receive the delegation in the Land of Papua," he added.

Lukas Enembe explained that PON can take place on Earth of Cenderawasih that takes a long time. For this reason, the opportunity to host must be maximized for the success of the achievements and implementation of the championship which should be held in 2020.

"The Papuan people feel proud to be the host so that there are no disturbances and threats. Papua is safe," he stressed.

The governor, whose name is pinned on the new Papua stadium, invited the people of Bumi Cenderawasih to show that the region is safe for athletes from all over Indonesia to visit.

"The proof is CdM Meeting II. This is an event to present what PB PON has done, and what has not," concluded Lukas Enembe.
