Appointment of Plh. Governor To ensure the wheels of government & public services run smoothly

The Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), Benni Irwan, said the appointment of the Papua Governor's Daily Executive (Plh) was commonplace, because there were regulations that governed and the rules applied to all regions. It's just that according to him the conditions of each region are different, so the key is communication.

According to Irwan, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) wants to ensure that government and public services run smoothly in Papua Province.

"The central government and provincial governments share the same passion to ensure that governance and development as well as public services in Papua Province run as well as possible," said Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs Information Center (Kapuspen) Benni Irwan at the Swiss Bell Hotel Jayapura, Papua Province.

Furthermore, Benni explained, the appointment of Plh. The governor is an effort to accelerate the distribution of the 2021 Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAK) which is allocated in 7 (seven) development fields, such as education, health, agriculture, environment, road construction, to irrigation which can be used to build villages.
Because, in the distribution process, there are several documents that have not been able to be completed by the Papua Provincial Government, namely documents that must be signed by the regional head.

The amount of Physical DAK is very large and beneficial for the community. Can you imagine if we are late in signing the required documents for the distribution of DAK, it is very unfortunate,” he said.

“So, the regional government, in this case, is pushing for acceleration to fulfill the distribution requirements documents. So this is what we encourage, with the same spirit between the central government and local governments," he said.

He also emphasized that the central government and the Papuan regional government both have the spirit to continue development, especially in the utilization of the special physical allocation funds which are very large in number and can be utilized for the welfare of the community.
It is hoped that the distribution of the Physical DAK can immediately be used for the needs of the community in all regions in Papua Province.

For this reason, he hopes that his direct working visit to Papua can resolve misunderstandings and end the polemic that occurred.

"We hope that after this explanation, we can carry out our duties as well as possible. In the future, there will be no more problems due to lack of understanding," he said.

On that occasion, Benni also invited all parties to pray for the recovery of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe, so that he could continue his leadership until the end of his term of office, with the support of all Forkopimda, religious leaders, community leaders, and all levels of society.
