Special Autonomy Provides Progress and Welfare for the Papuan People

Infrastructure development and special autonomy are one of the government's priority programs in Papua. The community also feels the benefits and supports the continuation of Development and Otsus volume 2 in order to realize a more advanced and prosperous Papua.

Various Papuan community leaders, consisting of tribal leaders, youth leaders and religious leaders, supported the sustainability of the Special Autonomy (Otsus) volume 2, one of which was the special staff of the President and a graduate of Oxford University Billy Mambrasar.
Billy told that the existence of Otsus Papua has made many Papuan youths get scholarships to study in various regions in Indonesia and abroad.

“Many educational scholarships are provided by the government such as Affirmasi, Special Autonomy and LPDP. Because Otsus is presented by the government for the welfare of the Papuan people," said Billy

Billy also added that young Papuans must come forward for Indonesia.

"I invite Papuan youths, let's work together to build Indonesia from Papua," Billy added.

Furthermore, the views of other sources, namely the Executive Director of the Indonesia Public Institute (IPI) Karyono Wibowo, expressed his support for Otsus, because the existence of Otsus Papua has increased economic welfare in Papua and other sectors.

"I support the sustainability of Otsus, because it has provided great benefits for four priority programs, namely education, health, infrastructure, and community economic empowerment," said Karyono.

The live podcast event with the theme "Let's Support Otsus for a Prosperous and Prosperous Papua" was organized by Media Kata Indonesia which is a series of activities with various millennials in participating in advancing Papua.

"The community also feels the benefits and supports the continuation of Development and Special Autonomy volume 2 in order to realize a more advanced and prosperous Papua," said Hafyz.

It is hoped that the results of this live podcast can literate and educate various audiences about the benefits of special autonomy and other special autonomy issues through the spread of positive narrative content of the special autonomy program for the progress and improvement of the welfare of the Papuan people.
