Ali Kabiay: KKB the Main Perpetrator of Human Rights Violations in Papua

Papuan Youth Leader, Ali Kabiay, who is also the Chairman of the Mandala Trikora Youth of Papua Province, supports the TNI-Polri in taking action against the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua, Puncak Regency, Papua.

The KKB in Puncak Regency, Bioga District has committed heinous and inhumane acts that resulted in 2 teachers, 1 motorcycle taxi driver and 1 schoolchild being shot dead. In addition, school buildings and helicopters were burned, and village girls were raped.

Ali Kabiay said the KKB's actions had violated human rights and severely hampered the government's efforts to develop the Puncak district. "We condemn the heinous actions carried out by the KKB against civilians in Puncak district," said Ali Kabiay.

Ali continued, as a Papuan child and representing all elements of the Papuan Youth, his party supports the TNI-Polri to take action and enforce the law on KKB in Puncak Regency.

Ali Kabiay added, the situation in Bioga District which has now returned to safety from KKB disturbances and community activities have returned to normal, is a success of the TNI-Polri synergy in providing a sense of security to the community.
