However, the current obstacle is the lack of public awareness to comply with the Health Protocols, especially the use of masks," he said.

“Until now, there has been no socialization from the local government to the community, so this is also the reason why there are still many people who do not comply with the Health Protocol. There needs to be efforts to control the community, especially to support the PPKM policy by wearing masks and keeping a distance, so that in the future there will not be an increase in Covid-19 cases in Kab. Manokwari. If the local government does not actively carry out socialization, people living in suburban areas will not know the latest information from the government's efforts to ward off Covid 19," he said.

"We hope that the government can provide assistance in the form of cash and food packages to people affected by Covid-19, so that if the government implements PPKM, the community will not have difficulty meeting their daily needs. Especially now that several patients have died from Covid-19 and this is starting to cause fear in the community," he added.

"Regarding the existence of groups provoking the community with the Covid-19 issue, so far we have not heard and we think the Papuan people will not be provoked by this because access to find news is very easy. If there are people who make provocations, we will immediately remind and order them not to do this because it will only make people more afraid," he said.
