Failed to attack DPRD offices, Papuan KKB even burned residents' houses

The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) is again throwing a tantrum. This time, they set fire to a resident's house in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya, Papua, Tuesday, November 2, 2021. The KKB terrorist's house burning took place in Mamba Bawah Village. Luckily, no one was injured in the burning of the house.

"Officers received information about the burning of the DPRD Office building by KKB terrorists on Tuesday afternoon. However, thanks to the anticipation of monitoring the TNI-Polri Task Force Team assigned to the Sugapa District, Intan Jaya managed to anticipate the burning with tight security," said the Head of Information for the Joint Defense Area Command ( Kogabwilhan) III, Colonel Czi IGN Suriastawa in his press statement.

Suriastawa said the KKB came back around the DPRD office, precisely in Kampung Mamba Bawah on Tuesday afternoon and immediately set fire to the residents' houses.

"After seeing KKB terrorists carrying weapons and burning houses of residents, the TNI-Polri Task Force at the location immediately opened fire on them," said Suriastawa.

Currently, TNI-Polri officers continue to guard the location to prevent further attacks from KKB terrorists. The arson was allegedly carried out by the Intan Jaya KKB terrorist group, led by Undius Kogoya.

The arson and terror carried out by KKB terrorists in Intan Jaya was not the first time this happened, before, on Friday, October 29, 2021, KKB carried out an act of burning residents' houses around the Sugapa Police Station.
