Statement of the TNI Commander regarding the Death of Three Soldiers Due to the Papuan KKB Attack




TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa spoke about three TNI soldiers who died as a result of an armed criminal group (KKB) attack in Ilaga, Puncak, Papua.

Andika emphasized that the TNI would not remain silent about the incident.
 
"The perpetrators of the shooting must be held accountable for their actions. We already have the names of the shooters and we are pursuing them to account for their actions," said Andika, as in a written broadcast, Jakarta, Saturday, January 29, 2022.

According to him, there was no provocation by the Indonesian military to anyone related to the incident. It was TNI soldiers who were attacked inhumanly by the KKB.

Three TNI soldiers died in an attack by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Ilaga, Puncak, Papua. The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa, admitted that he would not remain silent.

"We have studied since last night, based on explanations from several individuals who were also in Ilaga, including just now with all ranks at the Cenderawasih Kodam," he said.

"The point is, actually from the TNI side there are not the slightest attempts to provoke, there are, frankly, those who choose ways that are very contrary to human values," explained Andika.
