It is recommended that the position of Deputy Governor of Papua to replace Clement Tinal be appointed immediately and should not be left vacant for long. Moreover, there is an issue that the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, has chosen between two names as his companion to lead the province of Papua.

The news emerged that the two candidates in question were Deputy Speaker of the Papuan DPR Yunus Wonda and Secretary of KONI Papua Kenius Kogoya.

In this regard, Gerindra politician Arief Poyuono suggested that the leaders of political parties or political parties at the center as the bearers of the duo Lukas Enembe and the late Klemens approve the proposal for the two candidates for Deputy Governor of Papua.

Arief reminded that Lukas Enembe's wishes must be considered. The reason is that the figure of the Deputy Governor of Papua will collaborate with Lukas as the current Governor of Papua.

According to him, don't be impressed by the political parties that have left the Papuan Deputy Governor's seat vacant. This is because the position of Papua-2 has been vacant since Clement Tinal died of illness on May 21, 2021. This means that it has been almost a year empty.

"It really seems that the supporting political parties seem to have left the Papua Deputy Governor vacant. In fact, the information is that Lukas Enembe has submitted the names of the two Papuan Deputy Governor candidates he chose to the supporting coalition political parties," Arief told reporters, Thursday (10/2/2022). ).

For Arief, if he is left empty for a long time, he criticizes the responsibility and concern of the political party leadership. This is because it concerns the conditions of government and services in Papua.
He was also surprised because there was an issue that the supporting political party had actually proposed the name of the former Papuan Police Chief Paulus Waterpauw to be the Deputy Governor of Papua.
 
According to him, if it is true that the political parties that carry it are like that they don't care about the voices of the Papuan people who have voted in the 2018 Pilkada.

"This is also proof that the voices of the Papuan people who voted for the political parties that carried out the 2014 elections were completely ignored by the supporting political parties. After all, Paulus Waterpauw is not a party cadre," said the labor activist.
 
Therefore, he requested that the supporting political parties consider the two names proposed by Lukas Enembe. He said, from the two names, a replacement for Clement Tinal was immediately determined.

"After all, the two figures proposed for the Papuan deputy governor position are also original party cadres who carried the pair Lukas Enembe and Klemens Tinal in the 2018 Pilkada," said Arief.

Previously, a similar suggestion was voiced by political observer from the Indonesia Political Review (IPR) Ujang Komarudin.

He said the position of Deputy Governor of Papua should be filled immediately and should not be left vacant. He emphasized that because Papua is one of the provinces with complex problems.

"Don't leave the Papuan Deputy Governor's seat empty. However, the governor needs his deputy to optimally carry out the very tough task in Papua," said Ujang, Monday (31/2/2022).

For information, the pair Lukas Enembe-Klemens Tinal was carried by a combination of political parties on behalf of the Papua Bangkit II Coalition. There are 10 supporting political parties, namely Golkar, Democrat, Nasdem, Hanura, PKB, PAN, PKPI. In addition, there are PPP, PBB, and PKS.
 
The tug-of-war to determine Clement's replacement was allegedly because members of the Papua Bangkit Coalition coalition of political parties had the same opportunity to propose a candidate to replace Clement. With the figure being carried as the Deputy Governor of Papua, it is hoped that he can become a new figure to win the Papuan Gubernatorial Election in the 2024 Pilkada.
