The Ministry of PUPR hands over the Sorong KKP Polytechnic Flats, West Papua



The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) carried out the handover of the status of the use of Flats for ASN employees of the Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic in Sorong, West Papua Province worth Rp. 18.1 billion.

"This apartment building is intended as a dormitory for ASN employees at the Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic, Marine and Fisheries Research and Human Resources Agency," said Director General of Housing at the PUPR Ministry, Iwan Suprijanto, in a release in Jakarta, Saturday.

He stated that this flat was built with type 36 as high as three floors and equipped with complete furniture or furniture facilities.

According to Iwan, the construction of these flats will increase the enthusiasm of all administrators of the Sorong Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic, Marine and Fisheries Research and Human Resources Agency in carrying out their duties and obligations.

The Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic Flats were built by the Directorate General of Housing in Sorong, West Papua Province. The apartment was built with state budget funds for the 2018 fiscal year. This apartment was built with one tower, three floors with type 36, the number of occupancy is 42 units, it can accommodate 176 employees with a budget of Rp. 18.1 billion.

Iwan also added, One of the important roles of asset recipients in providing housing is through acceleration of occupancy, because by using flats, it can increase the life of the building so that its service life becomes more effective and optimal.

"The formation of the Flat Management Agency is also very necessary to properly carry out the activities of using the flats which include operational, maintenance and maintenance activities based on the applicable regulations, so that the flats are not easily damaged and can be used for a long period of time," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Antam Novambar expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Directorate General of Housing of the Ministry of PUPR who has been willing to assist and provide Flats for the development of education in the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries sector, with the handover of these Flats the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries will take full responsibility and maintain the flats properly.

Similarly, Plt. The Head of the Research and Resources Agency for Marine and Fisheries KKP Kusdiantoro expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of PUPR for its assistance in supporting the tasks and functions of marine and fisheries education through the provision of facilities and infrastructure for flats used for housing ASN employees at the KP Sorong Polytechnic.

"I see that this flat is very representative and can be used for ASN, to carry out their duties and functions as lecturers in conducting education for cadets at the KP Sorong Polytechnic," he said.

Furthermore, Kusdiantoro explained that his party organizes formal vocational education, through a teaching factory approach, with a portion of practice 70 percent and theory 30 percent with the cost of education subsidized by the state.

In addition, he said, there is a minimum of 55 percent of the student quota filled by children of the main actors of marine and fisheries, such as fishermen, fish raisers, fish processors and marketers, and salt farmers.
