Held Workshop, YPMAK Education on BPJS Health Claim Verification Mechanism



The Amungme and Kamoro Community Empowerment Foundation (YPMAK) held a workshop on understanding and aligning BPJS health claim verification mechanisms,

According to Tribun-Papua.com monitoring, the workshop entitled Verification of RSMM Claims for YPMAK Health Insurance with BPJS Rates, was held at Swiss-Bell Hotel Papua, Jayapura City, Tuesday (29/3/2022).
 
The Head of the YPMAK Health Program Division, Hengky Womsiwor, explained that the purpose and objective of YPMAK in holding workshops and comparative studies was to implement BPJS in community partner hospitals in the future.

"YPMAK through the hospital manager, namely the Caritas Timika Papua Foundation, has been working with BPJS Kesehatan since 2018," he said.
 
Currently, YPMAK and its partner PT Sinabuk Nemangkawi Abadi send several participants as verifiers.

"Through the workshop, these verifiers will learn together to get material, especially from the Jayapura branch of BPJS and also the Jayapura Dok II Hospital," said Hengky.

The lessons learned by participants as verifiers are how to code, reliable verifiers, how to claim, and what rules must be adhered to in cooperating with BPJS.

"We learned many things in theory in the workshop, and later we will visit Provita Hospital and Dian Harapan Hospital, we also want to learn from them, regarding the hospital's cooperation with BPJS Kesehatan," he explained.
 
Hengky conveyed that the workshop, which was held for 2 days, also aimed to see what benefits can be learned.

Meanwhile, the Advisor to the Health Division for Individual Health, Dr. Harold Manueke, explained that YPMAK is an institution or foundation entrusted by PT Freeport Indonesia to manage partnership funds.

"YPMAK has many programs, in the fields of education, health, economy, and specifically for health, there are two parts, namely public health and individual health," he explained.
 
For individual health, Harold said, there are at least 3 major programs in it, including the independence of the community.

"The target is specifically for the 2 main tribes, namely the Amungme and Kamoro, and their 5 kinship tribes who live in Timika Papua as beneficiaries," he explained.

He said, they (indigenous people) are programmed to be independent, especially in the fulfillment of health services.

"On the one hand, YPMAK also has a hospital, where this hospital is also expected to be independent, integrated with the national health system, in this case BPJS," he said.

According to Harold, when we talk about indigenous peoples within the company's area, of course, the main point is the sustainability aspect.

"Aspects of sustainability, that means what will happen to them when the company is no longer carrying out its activities," he said.
 
The smiling man said that what his party meant was sustainability as a form of community integration with guaranteed access to health services.
