Leap-Telkom Digital is Present in Sorong, Accelerating Digitalization in Eastern Indonesia

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) through the Leap-Telkom Digital (Leap) brand continues to innovate through digital products and services in order to provide the best solutions for the needs of every community. Leap actively cooperates and collaborates with various parties to ensure that the implementation of digitalization can be carried out by all sectors including agencies, corporations and governments in all regions in Indonesia.

In an effort to support the implementation of digitalization in eastern Indonesia, Telkom's Director of Digital Business, Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid, held an audience with the Deputy Mayor of Sorong, Pahimah Iskandar, to introduce Leap's superior digital products and services to support government activities in providing the best service for the community. The products introduced include Telkomsat, Logee, BigBox, and PaDi UMKM.
 
"Together, we accept and welcome Telkom to the land of Papua. We also introduced the ranks of the Regional Secretary of the Sorong City Government. This gathering basically wants to discuss and communicate the results in the form of cooperation," said Fahimah, in a press release, Wednesday (30/3/2022).

Telkom's Director of Digital Business, Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid, expressed his gratitude for the good response from the Sorong City Government for Telkom's initiative through various digital products and services. “We are grateful for the welcome given. Recently we also strengthened internet services with satellite services through Mangoesky, VSAT IP, VSAT IP Broadband, and TSAT Zone by Telkomsat. In our opinion, Telkomsat services are suitable for the West Papua region. Going forward, we will also continue to support the government's vision of One Data Indonesia through BigBox, for better integration of national data. From the economic sector, we will also help business actors, especially MSMEs in Sorong to produce or sell their goods through PaDi MSMEs and SooltanPay with SOEs," he said.

Fajrin further explained, Padi UMKM and SooltanPay during the month of March have online more than hundreds of SMEs in Sorong and Manokwari, with total transactions reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah.

In terms of infrastructure, Telkomsat is one of the providers of satellite-based networks from upstream to downstream which can contribute to the development of national telecommunications infrastructure. Telkomsat currently operates two satellites, namely the Telkom-3S satellite and the Merah Putih satellite, and operates more than tens of thousands of remotes throughout Indonesia.

On the same occasion, there was also the signing of a cooperation agreement related to one data between Telkom and several local governments, namely West Papua Province, Sorong City, Sorong Regency, Raja Ampat Regency, Thursday (24/3/2022). The signing of this collaboration was witnessed directly by the Director of Digital Business Telkom, Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid.

Leap is an umbrella brand for Telkom's digital products and services to accelerate the digitization of the Indonesian people.
