Not Only Shooting TNI Soldiers and Slashing Wives, KKB in Yalimo Turns Out To Injure Toddlers

The brutal actions of the armed criminal group (KKB) are increasingly vicious in spreading terror. This time, not only the TNI soldier and his wife, a midwife, were victims, but toddlers were also abused in Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, Papua, Thursday (31/3/2022) morning.

Wakapendam XVII Cenderawasih Lt. Col. Inf. Candra Kurniawan said KKB abused a toddler by cutting his finger.

"Children who are still toddlers are victims of OTK malignancies, namely their fingers are cut off," said Candra in her statement, Thursday (31/3/2022).

It further said that the perpetrator of the act was not yet known. Until now, the police are still asking for statements from a number of witnesses at the location.

"Regarding who the perpetrators are still unknown (OTK). Currently the witnesses are being questioned at the Yalimo Police," he said.

In addition, the KKB attack resulted in the death of the Elim Health Center midwife named Sri Lestari Indah Putri (33). Her husband, a TNI soldier named Sertu Eka Andrianto Hasugian (28), who was a member of Babinsa Koramil 1702-07/Kurulu, also died as a result of being shot.

According to him, this heartbreaking incident occurred at the victim's kiosk at 06.15 WIT.

"The victim is a health worker and a civil servant at the Elim Yalimo Health Center often helps the community, especially in the delivery of mothers. Especially when there is an evacuation in the Yalimo area. The deceased as a health worker is directly involved in helping the refugees," he said.

"Similarly, her deceased husband, Sertu Eka Andrianyanto Hasugian, who is Babinsa always helps the surrounding community," he said.

The two bodies have now been taken to the health center for autopsies.
