Residents of Nduga Papua Feel Much Assisted by the Navy

The death of two Marines from the Indonesian Navy Task Force (Satgas) Muara and Coastal (Mupe) Battalion 3 Marines Pasmar 2 who served in the Lower Quary Post, caused deep pain for the residents of Nduga Papua.

Rodolof Memetaru, one of the community leaders of Atuka Timika Village, said that the presence of the Indonesian Navy Marines was very helpful for the people there.

Rodolof was touched and saddened by what had happened to the Marines.

"So far, the Lower Quary Post in carrying out its duties has always been guided by the leadership's instructions. For example, providing benefits to the people, being quick to respond to people's problems and difficulties," said Rodolof Memetaru, quoted from the Indonesian Navy's official website.

Furthermore, Rodolof conveyed that the assistance from the Naval Marines was sufficient and always helped when there were residents in difficulty.

"Because we really see that we get help from the Navy and maybe that's enough, making access for us."

"When we have difficulties and there are certain difficulties that are in front of our eyes, the Marines never see passing us like that ...," he said.

In addition, at the location where Rodolof lives, which is a fishing area, the Marines assigned to that place guard the access road to school for school children.

"In fact, we have school children and they also participate in running access to postal security from elementary to junior high schools in fisheries to the schools above," he said.

Furthermore, Rodolof hopes that this sad event will not make the Indonesian Navy reduce its assistance to the residents there because they desperately need assistance from the Navy.

The Marine Corps of the Indonesian Navy in carrying out its duties will always be guided by the Daily Orders of Kasal Admiral TNI Yudo Margono to maintain the trust of the state and the people in the Navy through real work that is beneficial to institutions, society, nation and state.
