DPR members are saddened by the behavior of the KKB movement in Papua

Member of the House of Representatives Mochamad Hasbi Asydiki Jayabaya stated that his party personally felt sad for the behavior of the Armed Criminalization Group (KKB) movement in Papua which carried out terror against law enforcement officials and local communities.

"The KKB should support President Joko Widodo's policy of building extraordinary infrastructure in Papua," said PDI-P politician from the Electoral District (Dapil) of Lebak and Pandeglang Regencies when asked to comment on the Papuan KKB in Lebak, Monday.

The Jokowi government's attention is quite large on the development of Papua's infrastructure, such as toll roads, airports, reservoirs, health to education and others to encourage new economic growth for the local community.

It is certain that infrastructure development can improve the welfare of the Papuan people, so that they can catch up with other regions.

Although he is not in the field to comment on the actions of the KKB movement, the member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Commission VIII certainly feels sad and concerned if the KKB commits terrorism and violence against the apparatus as well as the community.

According to him, the TNI and Polri should have designed a structure to deal with the KKB movement peacefully without violence on either side.

"We believe that as a child of the nation, it is our duty to protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI)," said the son of the former Lebak Regent, Mulyadi Jayabaya.

Meanwhile, the charismatic cleric of Lebak Regency KH Hasan Basri emphasized that rebels against the legitimate government in the science of "bughot" fiqh are haraam because they can cause harm and misery.

The Papuan KKB movement clearly wants to separate itself from the Republic of Indonesia, because they are carrying out a rebellion against members of the TNI, Polri and the community.

"We should not establish a state within a state," said the chairman of the MUI Fatwa Commission in Banten Province.

According to him, "bughot" is haraam and prohibited according to Islamic teachings and needs to be fought, because it does not provide benefit to mankind.

He invited all components of society to love the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as a result of the struggle of the ulama as well as the fighters for independence from the invaders.

So far, he said, the people of Lebak Regency, whose residents are very religious as a "thousand madrasa" area, have always respected and appreciated the diversity of tribes, languages, customs and religions.

In addition, this diversity makes it a strength to strengthen the ties of friendship in order to increase unity and prosperity, he said.

He also asked the public to avoid all forms of provocation and not to be provoked to take unconstitutional actions, especially if their actions lead to bughots.

"We ask for unity and integrity to be maintained and preserved to build a better human civilization," he said.
