The Jayawijaya District Chamber of Commerce and Industry encourages the advancement of coffee farmers

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of Jayawijaya Regency, Papua encourages the progress of coffee farmers in 40 districts in the region to improve the welfare of farmers.

Chairman of the Jayawijaya Regency Kadin Lemeus Gombo in a press release received by ANTARA in Jayapura, Thursday, said his party was working with PT Papua Sejahtera to encourage the progress of coffee farmers.

"This is also to advance Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and encourage coffee commodities, especially in the central highlands of Papua, to be more advanced and superior," he said.

According to Lemeus, his party is also ready to assist coffee farmers in the central highlands to boost coffee productivity, quality and marketing.

"We are also ready to assist coffee farmers in 40 districts in Jayawijaya Regency in terms of industry and marketing," he said.

Currently, his party is starting to make improvements from the Bripi District, Jayawijaya Regency, by using the coffee plant in the area as an example for marketing to national and international levels.

"Because currently coffee marketing is still at the regional level, so in the future we hope to be able to penetrate the international market," he said.
