Papuan Leaders Ask KNPB Chairman Dogiyai Saugas Goo to Stop Provocations Against OAP

The West Papua National Committee (KNPB) is known as a banned organization that has a bad reputation and often interferes with security in Papua. Through the KNPB and other wings of civil society organizations, it is known that the group is trying to reject a number of government policies.

Regarding the news and plans for a demonstration that will be carried out by KNPB Dogiyai in Nabire Regency, one of the Papuan leaders, Etinus Murib, SH., MH., emphasized the chairman of KNPB Dogiyai, Saugas Goo, to stop provoking the community just to impose goals. the politics.

“Saugas Goo and KNPB have interests that will only harm many parties. Stop provoking the public to impose your political goals," said Etinus Murib. (20/6)

According to Murib, the provocation by Saugas Goo in inviting people to take to the streets against the expansion plan is an act that will harm many parties and make sympathizers a shield.

"You can only talk behind the scenes, when later there are incidents and riots that have an impact on the community, you must run and hide and ask for help. Pretending to be a victim and busy advocating on social media," he added.

Being a figure who is considered a leader, Saugas Goo should be able to position himself wisely. Murib explained that Saugas Goo should be able to use his brain and strength for better purposes.

“Where your brain and intelligence should be used for the benefit of God's people. Don't be Judas, traitor. God has given everything for his people so use it well," said Murib.

Murib emphasized that the government's plan to form a New Autonomous Region (DOB) or expansion is for the common good and to provide a better life.

“Today God has proven and given a better life through DOB, so we have to admit that this is a blessing from God. Blessings in life are something we should be grateful for, meaning that there should be no rejection of God's will," he added.

Etinus Murib in his speech asked all Papuans not to be provoked and respond to Saugas Goo's statement because it would only harm themselves. Because if there is an arrest by the security forces, then the community itself will lose.

"To the people who know about Judas Saugas Goody Goo's invitation, don't be provoked and don't follow his provocation, because it will only harm us, not him. When there is a riot and arrests are made, the community is the victim. We ourselves will bear the consequences,” Murib concluded.
