Deputy Regent of Jayawijaya, Papua Province, Marthin Yogobi, stated that his party is ready to follow up on the aspirations of the management of the Indonesian National Construction Entrepreneurs Association (Gapensi) for the newly elected Jayawijaya Regency for the next five year period.

Deputy Regent of Jayawijaya Marthin Yogobi in Wamena, Sunday, said that Gapensi had conveyed several things at the VI Gapensi Jayawijaya branch meeting (Muscab), and these would later be forwarded to Regent John Richard Banua.

"I hope that Gapensi will later be forwarded to the regent. And on behalf of the government, congratulations to the newly elected Gapensi Jayawijaya. I hope the new management will work in a solid, compact, full of responsibility, make breakthroughs, innovations to support the development of Jayawijaya," he said.

The chairman of the Papua Province Gapensi, Rudi Waromi while in Wamena, said the Jayawijaya Gapensi had been going well, it was just that they needed to make adjustments to the current digital era.

"The issue we are struggling with is the implementation of Law Number 2 of 2017 namely PP5 where licensing is risk-based, where all letter management activities must go digital. This is what we need to give understanding to our members who are quite a lot in Papua," he said.

He said the adjustment would be difficult but not impossible for Gapensi members in Jayawijaya to follow.

The newly elected chairman of Gapensi Jayawijaya Regency, Fred Huby, hopes for government support for the provision of an internet network so that they can adapt to online management.

"Because we are now forced to participate online or use the internet, to this day our files are still being sent to our administrative staff in Jayapura to be uploaded, so we hope that the government will pay attention to us," he said.

According to Fred, members of Gapensi Jayawijaya want the government's attention, which has been running so far, to be increased again. For example, by giving a rather large job value such as Rp. 50 to 100 billion to Jayawijaya entrepreneurs.

"IDR 50-100 billion, if divided into one package of one billion, it can get 50-100 people. Or if you give IDR 500 million, 200 companies can get it. This is a narrow thought conveyed by Gapensi friends that I need to convey to the deputy regent," he said. .

Fred Huby said another message from the women members of Gapensi Jayawijaya was that the government's attention was equal between male and female Gapensi members.

"There is also a deposit from the women of Baliem, they conveyed that so far the regent and deputy for the project only gave a man with a large value, for a woman Rp. also a billion," he said.

One of the traditional leaders in Jayawijaya said that this was the first time he had come under pressure from Gapensi members after being involved in Muscab several times.

"The pressure is that members are forcing them to become administrators. This is an extraordinary event that has happened. This indicates that the seeds of young local entrepreneur contractors are starting to grow in this place," he said.
