Papuan KKB Kills a Priest in Nduga, Kills Several Innocent People's Lives

The brutal action of the Papuan KKB terrorists who killed a priest in Nduga left deep wounds.

Religious leaders in Papua also condemned the KKB's inhumane act.

Apart from a priest, a number of residents have also become victims of the Papuan KKB atrocities.
 
One of the Papuan figures, the Chairman of the Klasis Kingmi Kenyam Zakeus Kogoya openly condemned the heinous act of the Papuan KKB.

Zakeus said that there is no religion that teaches to commit acts of violence, let alone to leave the lives of others.

"Our friends, who are priests and several innocent citizens, have become victims of violence until their lives just disappear," he said, Friday (29/7/2022), launching from tribaratanews.polri.go.id.

Furthermore, he said, currently residents in Nduga Regency are still traumatized by what they are experiencing when they hear that there are no small number of victims who died.
 
He hoped that this incident would not happen again.

“This week I will be writing to the congregation to let us discuss the situation we are currently experiencing.
 
So that we don't continue to be in constant fear and we can do activities calmly, both gardening and other activities without any fear," he said.

Give trust to the TNI/Polri security forces in maintaining Kamtibmas and we as Religious Leaders in Nduga Regency support in order to maintain a safe and conducive Kamtibmas situation.

Previously, a priest named Eliaser Baner and nine residents of Kampung Nanggolait, Nduga Regency, Papua were massacred by the Papuan KKB led by Egianus Kogoya.

They were shot dead. The other two residents are said to be in critical condition and are being treated at the hospital.
 
The brutal shooting on Saturday (16/7/2022) morning was strongly suspected of being the perpetrator of the Papua Nduga KKB and had happened several times.

Recently, members of the Nduga Police with the assistance of the Cartenz Peace Task Force and TNI soldiers are still pursuing the perpetrators.

"The victims who died and were injured this afternoon will be evacuated by the TNI-Polri to Mimika Regency.

The Mimika Police Chief has also prepared an ambulance to pick it up," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in Jayapura, Saturday afternoon.

The victims were evacuated using helicopters belonging to the Indonesian National Police and Air Force, as well as Rimbun Air planes.
