BNI Region 16 Papua-West Papua distributes KUR of Rp 235 billion

BNI Region 16 Papua and West Papua currently distributes people's business loans (KUR) for MSMEs amounting to Rp 235 billion which is distributed to around 1,000 MSME actors.

As for non-KUR business loans, Rp 150 billion has been distributed to 100 MSME players, said the Head of BNI Regional Office 16 Papua - West Papua, Ariyanto Soewondo Geni to Antara in Jayapura, Friday.

Admittedly, in addition to the distribution of KUR, PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Regional Office 16 Papua - West Papua itself for 2022 has distributed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Rp. 625 million to institutions and communities related to MSMEs.

Currently, there are many MSMEs that are oriented to coffee commodities, which are initiated by young Papuan entrepreneurs.

To support the development of MSME digital financial access, especially in the coffee business, BNI has provided several facilities such as EDC, QRIS, M-Banking for MSME cafe or coffee shop businesses.

In addition, to bring MSME actors closer, namely between coffee farmers and coffee businessmen with banking services or outlets, BNI also has Agen46 as a mini bank that can help coffee farmers and coffee businessmen to more easily access banking services and do not need to go far to bank outlets. , said Ariyanto.

Regarding the challenges of developing MSMEs, Ariyanto admitted that the opportunity to go global is still wide open, which MSMEs can get

starting from small things such as starting to record business finances in an orderly manner and actively transacting in bank accounts.

MSME actors must be more disciplined and can have a good financial history so that the opportunity to upgrade their financing class is increasingly wide open, said Ariyanto.
