Komnas HAM claims to meet with Papuan KKB officials.

Komnas HAM said that the Free Papua Organization (OPM) wanted peace without violence in Papua, Indonesia.
 
Komnas HAM is determined to be a mediator between the Indonesian government and the Papuan KKB.
 
The commander of the Free Papua Movement (OPM) hopes for a non-violent peace in Papua.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) Ahmad Taufan Damanik.

He admitted that some time ago he met directly with the OPM Commander in Papua.
 
The hope of the OPM Commander, said Taufan, is that Komnas HAM can become a facilitator of peaceful dialogue between the OPM and the Indonesian government.
