Nduga's subsidized flights begin, the Regent of Namia takes the first flight
Acting Regent of Nduga, Namia Gwijangge S.Pd. M.Si inaugurated the pioneering flight route of cooperation between the Nduga Regency government and PT. Associated Mission Aviation (AMA) on Monday (5/9) at Kenyam Airport, Nduga Regency.
This Nduga Regency subsidized flight will serve Caravan Airplane flights from Timika-Kenyam-Paro, Yeretma-Yuguru and Kuyawage round-trip every day and AMA Pilatus Wamena-Kenyam – Gearek-Kilmid-Alama, Iniye-Pilini-Sipogol-Enggolok-Musiarem Round Trip every day and continued to several pioneer airports in Nduga Regency.
This subsidized flight is the answer from the Nduga Regency Government to public complaints related to the high price of pioneer plane tickets to pioneer airports in Nduga Regency.
Acting Regent of Nduga Namia Gwijangge stated that leaders must be the solution to the problems faced by the community. "Leaders must listen and be able to provide solutions to problems faced by the community and this is what I always try to do," he said.
The subsidized plane ticket fare is IDR 300 thousand for adults and IDR 200 thousand for children. The Regent of Namia emphasized that it is not allowed for anyone to increase ticket prices so that this flight subsidy can be right on target.
The Regent of Namia asked the entire community of Nduga Regency to maintain the safety of the pilot and this flight so that if the area is safe, many flights will enter to serve the needs of the Nduga Regency.
This pioneering inaugural flight from Timika to Kenyam was also followed by the director of PT. AMA Bob Kayadu. Bob himself thanked and appreciated the Nduga Regency Government for being an aviation partner who could serve the Nduga community.
Bob stated that the subsidized flights of PT. This AMA is the first and only one in Tanah Papua. Therefore, he appreciated the Nduga Regency Government for its concern for its people in terms of air transportation.
For this pioneering flight collaboration, his party has provided 2 units of aircraft, each of which is standby in Timika and Wamena.
Meanwhile, a young Nduga community leader, Yanius Kogeya, expressed his gratitude to the Acting Regent of Nduga for programs that can help directly to the community and this is an achievement that must be maintained and improved.
