Papua Provincial Government: Cheap food bazaar maintains price stability



The Papuan Provincial Government (Pemprov) through the local Agriculture and Food Service explained that cheap food bazaars can help local residents meet their daily needs and stabilize prices of agricultural commodities in Cenderawasih Earth.
 
The Head of the Papua Province Food and Agriculture Service, Semuel Siriwa, in Jayapura, Friday, said that the Cheap Food Bazaar was held with the support of his office partners.
 
"This collaboration is with the National Food Agency, Bulog and several farmer distributor partners, so that the price of food sold is below the market price," he said.
 
According to Samuel, such as beef which is sold at a price of IDR 140 thousand per kg, while the market price has reached IDR 170 thousand per kg, not to mention shallots at the food bazaar for IDR 35 thousand, garlic for IDR 30 thousand, curly chilies for IDR 50 thousand and several other commodities provided.
 
"This activity lasts only two days, both in Keerom Regency, City and Jayapura Regency, we hope that people take advantage of the cheap food bazaar," he said.
 
He explained that this month was not a religious holiday, but his party held a cheap food bazaar due to the aspirations of the people, where commodity prices began to soar.
 
"Usually we hold it at the moment of religious days, but because of the many aspirations of the residents to carry out the activity, even though with various limitations, and thankfully, the work partners also fully support it," he said again.
 
For your information, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Papua through the local Agriculture and Food Service held a Cheap Food Bazaar for two days starting from September 2-3 at Taman Imbi, Jayapura City on Friday (2/9).
