KPK investigates the role of PT Waringin Megah in the Mimika Kingmi Church project

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigated the knowledge of two witnesses regarding the participation of PT Waringin Megah in the construction project of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika, Papua.

"His knowledge was explored, among others, related to the participation of the company PT Waringin Megah in the construction project of the Kingmi Mile 32 Church in Mimika," said Acting (Plt.) KPK Spokesperson Ipi Maryati Kuding in Jakarta, Thursday.

The KPK examines the Director/Assistant Director of PT Waringin Megah Hermash Budi Yuwono Lukman and PT Waringin Megah employee R. Andrian Gatot Yudho Prabowo at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (26/10), during the investigation into the alleged corruption case of the Kingmi Mile Church construction project. in Mimika Regency.

The KPK also informed a witness who did not fulfill the summons on Wednesday (26/10), namely PT Waringin Megah Febriansyah employee.

"Not attending and rescheduling for a recall will be immediately conveyed by the investigation team," said Ipi.

The KPK has named three suspects, namely the inactive Mimika Regent Eltinus Omaleng (EO), the Head of the Welfare Section of the Mimika Regency Secretariat/commitment-making official (PPK) Marthen Sawy (MS), and the private party/PT Waringin Megah (WM) Director Teguh Anggara (TA). ).

The KPK suspects that the actions of the suspects caused state financial losses of around Rp. 21.6 billion from the contract value of Rp. 46 billion. From the project, it is suspected that EO also received money in the amount of around Rp. 4.4 billion.

For their actions, the suspects are suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code. .

The KPK has detained two suspects, namely EO and MS. Meanwhile, the suspect TA has not been detained by KPK investigators.
