Police: 12 murderers of West Papuan Trans Road workers entered the DPO

The West Papua Regional Police have named 12 perpetrators of the attack and murder of four civilians working on the construction of the trans-West Papua road for the Bintuni-Maybrat route, on the wanted list or DPO.

West Papua Police Head of Public Relations, Police Commissioner Adam Erwindi, told reporters in Manokwari on Friday that the determination of the 12 DPOs was based on police report Number: A/155/IX/2022 SPKT Teluk Bintuni Polres West Papua Police.

The identities of the 12 perpetrators of the attack and murder included Martinus Aisnak, Frengky Muuk, Tom Aimaun, Manfret Fatem, Imanuel Aimau, Willy Sakof, Thomas Muuk, Marthen Aikingging, Mathias Aisasior, Barnabas Muuk, and Sutiawan Orocomna.

"For the people of West Papua who know or know the whereabouts of the 12 perpetrators, they should immediately report to the nearest police post," said the Head of Public Relations.

Previously, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the West Papua Police, Police Commissioner Novia Jaya, stated that DPO Manfret Fatem was suspected of being the mastermind behind the attack on 14 workers on the trans-West Papua road construction project on September 29, 2022.

"Manfret Fatem is the DPO for the attack on the Kisor Posramil. He is also suspected of being the mastermind behind the attack on 14 workers on the West Papua trans road project," he said.
 
The attack by an armed criminal group (KKB) against 14 workers on the Trans Papua Barat road construction project that occurred on Thursday, September 29, 2022, resulted in four deaths and several injuries. The four dead were Abbas, Armin, Darmin, and Yafet.

Kombes Novia Jaya said that one worker who was a victim of the KKB attack with a severe gunshot wound was undergoing treatment at the Makassar City Hospital, South Sulawesi.

"Eight other survivors have been returned to their families, while one survivor (the cook) is still undergoing treatment at the Teluk Bintuni Regency Hospital due to an injury to the knee," he said.
