The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will determine the fate of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe after a team of independent doctors from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) checks the health of the regional head at his residence in Papua.

"Yes, based on the IDI examination, we will later determine, determine further attitudes," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at the KPK Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday (24/10/2022). Regarding Lukas Enembe's health condition, Alex admitted that he did not know further. Alex, claimed that when Luke's team of doctors met with the KPK team of doctors, they did not discuss Luke's condition.

"If the information was not conveyed, yes. Of course that is the doctor's domain, yesterday's doctor was accompanied by a KPK doctor as well, from a KPK doctor, and we didn't talk about his condition," said Alex.

Because they did not know for sure his condition, the KPK decided to ask the IDI independent team of doctors to check the health of Lukas Enembe. Alex ensured that the KPK could not simply believe the claims of the litigants' doctors. "However, in law enforcement, we also need a second opinion, not based on information, for example on the personal doctor or the doctor concerned, but we need a second opinion in order to enforce the law," he said. Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko emphasized that TNI officers are ready to be deployed if there are people who hinder the legal process of the Governor of Papua, Lukas Enembe, who is currently entangled in the alleged bribery and gratification case.
