West Papua Police: Cook found safe from KKB savagery
Reva (28 years old), a female cook who was reported missing after an armed criminal group (KKB) attack on 14 West Papuan Trans Road project workers was found safe, Sunday.
West Papua Police Head of Public Relations Kombes Pol Adam Erwindi said the information on one survivor was based on a report by the Teluk Bintuni Police Chief AKBP Junov Siregar and Dandim 1806/Bintuni Lt. Col. Inf. Kadek Abriawan.
"One victim on behalf of Dewi Manise (Reva) who is a cook in the construction project of Jalan Teluk Bintuni - Maybrat has been found safe," said Adam Erwindi.
Adam said Reva survived KKB's savagery after hiding in a mud puddle during the attack on Thursday (29/9).
"During the attack, Reva was in a truck sitting next to the driver and at the time of the incident she jumped from the car and injured her leg. Injuries were not able to make Reva escape. Reva was helped by one of her friends and was thrown into a cliff and eventually went into hiding. in a puddle of mud," Adam explained.
The survivors stayed in a mud puddle until Thursday (29/9) night and then rushed out to look for help to the surrounding villages.
"Reva was then rescued by the people of Meyerga Village and handed over to the nearest TNI post to get security and medical assistance," said Adam Erwindi.
Adam said that at this time the victim had arrived in Teluk Bintuni Regency after being evacuated by TNI personnel from Meyerga Village.
"The survivors have arrived in Teluk Bintuni Regency and have been received by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation Team for the West Papua Police, led by Kombes Pol Novia Jaya," he said.
It is known that in the KKB attack on 14 West Papua Trans Road project workers, 4 people died, 10 survived, including Reva the cook who was previously reported missing but has been found safe.
