Biak Numfor's budget absorption until the end of October increased

The realization of budget absorption in the scope of the Biak Numfor Regency Government, Papua until the end of October 2022 has begun to increase, reaching in the range of 75 to 80 percent.

"We are targeting that until the end of December 2022 the budget absorption of the Biak Numfor Regency Government can reach the target of 100 percent," said Biak Deputy Regent Calvin Mansnembra on the sidelines of a regional work meeting in Biak, Saturday.

Deputy Regent Calvin Mansnembra said the increase in the Biak Numfor Regency government's budget absorption occurred from sources of special allocation funds, general allocation funds, Papua special autonomy funds and other funds.

He expressed his hope that various leaders of regional apparatus organizations as budget users continue to accelerate the realization of regional budget absorption quickly and according to predetermined activity targets.

"When the absorption of the physical project budget is high, it can encourage and have a direct impact on economic growth in the people of Biak Numfor Regency," Calvin Mansnembra hoped.

He admitted that at the end of the 2022 fiscal year, the Biak Numfor Regency Government had also made real policy efforts in order to control regional inflation.

Two things that the Biak Numfor Regency Government is currently doing in controlling inflation, according to him, are to implement the chili farming sector program in schools, the state civil apparatus (ASN), and in community gardens.

"The Biak Regency Government has also carried out a program to distribute direct cash assistance to the community as a result of the increase in fuel prices," said Calvin.

Based on data obtained by ANTARA on the approval of regional expenditures in the 2022 APBD Amendment, the Biak Numfor DPRD set Rp 1.5 trillion.

Meanwhile, the Regional Working Meeting of the Biak Numfor Regency Government took place at the KSL Ridge building, Manyai Village from Friday to Saturday night (5/11) led by Regent Herry Ario Naap with the agenda of listening to the delivery of work programs and program strategies for 2023 from regional organizational leaders and 19 heads of state. Districts temporarily suspended will continue on Monday (7/11) next week.
