Managers of the seven leading tourism destinations in Jayapura Regency received training

The Tourism Office of Jayapura Regency, Papua Province provides training to managers of tourist destinations in seven leading tourist areas in the region using special autonomy funds (Otsus).

Head of the Jayapura Regency Tourism Office Jhon Wiclif Tegay said in Jayapura on Tuesday that his party plans to carry out the training directly at tourist sites.

"We hope to be able to go directly to the location because if you use special non-physical allocation funds from the center, you can only conduct training in hotels," he said.

According to Wiclif, through this hands-on training, it is hoped that managers of leading tourist destinations can more easily understand how to manage finances.

Based on the Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPDA) of the Jayapura Regency Tourism Office, there are seven leading tourist areas namely Lake Sentani, Robongholo (slope of Mount Cycloop), nature tourism in Kampung Moy, Tepra, Ukari, Grime and Nawa.

"In the future we will conduct training in this area using special autonomy funds so that everything can run well," he said.

Related to that, his party will meet with the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) of Jayapura Regency to request additional special autonomy funds for this activity.

"We will meet with the Papua Province Tourism Office and the Papua DPR to submit a request for additional special autonomy funds," he said.
