During 2022, KKB Papua took dozens of lives, 12 from the Indonesian National Police, the rest were civilians

The Armed Criminal Group in Papua or KKB Papua has apparently claimed dozens of lives, both civilians and TNI and Polri soldiers during 2022.

The victims died horribly after being attacked indiscriminately by the separatist group. According to circulating data, the total number of victims recorded was 41 people.

From the data circulating, of the 41 fatalities, 12 of them were from TNI and Polri soldiers. These victims generally died from gunshots.
 
While the number of civilians who died was recorded as many as 29 people. These civilians generally died because of indiscriminate attacks by these armed groups.
 
Some of the victims work as teachers, nurses, midwives, motorcycle taxi drivers, mining workers, road workers and workers working on telecommunication networks.

One of them is even the son of a tribal chief, a respected figure in Papua. The chief's son is a guide for telecommunications network workers in the area.

Under these conditions, the public seems to be waiting for the policy of the TNI Commander, Admiral Yudo Margono, who has just replaced General Andika Perkasa who is entering retirement age.
